Daniel A. Bass v. Comm'n for Lawyer Disc

On February 1, 2012 the Board of Disciplinary Appeals affirmed in part and reversed in part the judgment of active suspension of San Antonio attorney Daniel A. Bass, 55, State Bar of Texas Card No. 01875695 signed by the District 10-2 Evidentiary Panel of the State Bar of Texas on March 10, 2011 in case no. S0100922631. The Board affirmed the finding that Bass violated TDRPC 8.04(a)(11) and reversed the finding that he did not violate TDRPC 8.04(a)(3) concluding that it was a violation of TDRPC 8.04(a)(3) to issue a subpoena over his name and bar card number while administratively suspended from the practice of law. The Board rendered the same sanction as the evidentiary panel: a 60 day active suspension served from February 16, 2011 until April 17, 2011. BODA cause number 48195. On February 23, 2012, Bass appealed this matter to the Supreme  Court of Texas case no. 12-0149.  The appeal was dismissed for want of prosecution on August 3, 2012.
