On April 21, 2008, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeal of Fort Worth attorney James J. Neel, 60, SBOT Card No. 14857500, of a judgment of partially probated suspension signed by the Evidentiary Panel for the State Bar of Texas District 07A grievance committee in Case No. D0040629268 on May 11, 2007. The Board found that Neel did not file a reporter's record or a brief. The Board issued an Order to Show Cause to Neel on January 28, 2008, giving him 30 days to respond and show cause as to why the appeal should not be dismissed for want of prosecution. Neel did not respond.
