ROXANE ESTHER MARTINEZ

On April 14, 2005, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals entered an interlocutory order of suspension against Houston attorney Roxane Esther Martinez, 46, SBOT Card No. 13144210. On or about February 18, 2004, Martinez was found guilty of Class B misdemeanor theft, an intentional crime as defined in the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure , in Cause No. 1194496 styled, The State of Texas v. Roxane E. Martinez, in the County Criminal Court at Law No. 12 in Harris County, Texas. Martinez was sentenced to 90 days confinement, probated for one year. She was also assessed a fine of $2,000. Martinez has appealed the conviction. In the event that the conviction becomes final, Martinez will be suspended from the practice of law for the term of her criminal probation.
