On July 30, 2018 the Board of Disciplinary Appeals affirmed the judgment of public reprimand of El Paso attorney Eric Bliss Darnell, 61, State Bar of Texas Card No. 00783928, signed on September 20, 2017 by Evidentiary Panel 17-2 for the State Bar of Texas District 17 grievance committee in Case Nos. 201601129 and 201600668. The evidentiary panel found that Darnell violated TDRPC 1.03(a), 1.03(b), 3.01, 3.02, 3.03(a)(1), and 8.04(a)(3). Mr. Darnell appealed the Board's decision to the Texas Supreme Court, case no. 18-0704, and the court affirmed BODA's judgment on January 25, 2019. BODA cause number 59880.
