Jay Steven Pearlman v. Comm'n for Lawyer Discipline

On August 7, 2017, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals affirmed the default judgment of disbarment of Richmond, Texas attorney Jay Steven Pearlman, 62, State Bar of Texas Card No. 15689950, signed on August 15, 2016 by the Evidentiary Panel for the State Bar of Texas District 5-1 grievance committee in State Bar of Texas cause numbers 201503981 and 20150398. The evidentiary panel found that Pearlman violated the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct 1.03(a), 1.14(b), 1.15(d) and 8.04(a)(3).  Pearlman has appealed the Board's decision to the Supreme Court of Texas, No. 17-0659. On December 22, 2017 the Supreme Court of Texas dismissed his appeal for want of prosecution. BODA cause number 58334.
